Welcome our Newest Oompler, Cora!

Written by Kaili Anderson | May 17, 2021

We weren’t lying to you when we said Oomple was growing... We’re thrilled to introduce you to our new UX Developer, Cora! She will be joining the team all the way from BC and will be playing a vital role in all aspects of delivery. Cora started her professional journey with graphic design for print media, then moved on to UX/UI design for applications. She’s now found herself doing UX development and is loving every minute of it.

We want you to get to know our new onboard-y, so check out what she has to say:

What drew you to joining Oomple?

"I believe that there is a need to connect companies with professional freelancers and vice versa. It is also an exciting opportunity to be part of Oomple during its start-up stage and to contribute my skills and knowledge to the company."

What made you choose your career as a developer?

"When I was working as a graphic and UX/UI designer, I was intrigued by web and app development. I wanted to understand what users needed to provide a better user experience and performance. I was also curious about how designs can come to life for users to interact."

What’s something fun or unique that people might not know about you?

"Since I am a foodie, I love spending time looking for new restaurants, trying new food and planning my vacations around meals."

Give us your best travel story!

"One of my best travel stories is about visiting Seoul, Korea during the Winter. My family and I witnessed snow, wore Hanbok, and ate Korean street food together for the very first time. It was an awesome family experience that I will never forget."

What’s on your bucket list?

"I love travelling and have always wanted to visit all the provinces in Canada. I want to be able to explore more about this lovely country and what it has to offer. Can’t wait to travel again."

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, which would it be?

"Being able to teleport to any location at any time, would be really cool. However, being more realistic, I choose martial arts because it helps me to increase my overall mobility and improve my body’s pressure response."
